I totally forgot this interview took place! Here I am at a local singer-songwriter competition showcase being optimistic about the sad state of interest in original material from Singaporean gig goers.
Also, as a follow up to this showcase, I'll be playing at Timbre, Substation on 25th May, Wednesday at 7.30pm. It's going to be half an hour of original songs, so hope to see you there. :)
Here's a cover of Black Velvet done at an outdoor blues festival gig at the Esplanade about two weeks ago. I'm trying to get off my lazy ass and do more live performances and figure out what to do with my hands without the safety of a guitar hanging from my neck.
At the back of my mind, though, there's always the next multi-instrument YouTube cover to crank out, and I have a pile of toy instruments waiting to get on Beyonce's Crazy in Love.
